Dafni Barbageorgopoulou´s work comprise a network woven from various narratives, which is formally expressed in installations, sculptures and collages. The combination of different materials, which are equipped with their own technical and cultural information and codes, lead to an artistic framework that is permeated with questions about the relationship between space and the human body.

Through a personal awareness of the dreaming experience, everyday body movements and their correlation to themes such as hidden codes of communication, body rituals or sound, she is constantly gathering new information, symbols and ideas which create overlaps and coincidences, from where she traces new forms of sculpture.

One of the main methods of her practice is to create equivalences of the bodily experience in two-dimensional forms such as patterns, drawings or collages. These are then used like maps or diagrams and are consequently transfigured, in the public realm, into objects or installations.
